This survey is conducted as a part of dissertation project, which shall be submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for a PhD dissertation at INCEIF. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence the low penetration rate of takaful industry as compared to the conventional insurance in Malaysia in terms of achievement, products, services, prices and human resources. It is also to assess the role of takaful Models (Mudarabah and Wakalah) in terms of the penetration rate in the takaful industry. Under the supervision of Datuk. Prof. Dr. Syed Othman Alhabshi.
